We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number ZC005310.

This policy applies to two websites:
It covers the personal data we collect when you visit either site, complete a form, contact us by email or telephone, register your interest, apply for early access, or sign up for updates.
What it does not cover: Use of the Expert Genie Pro software itself. If you join the Early Adopter Programme, our EAP Privacy Policy applies from the point your details are given to us so that a login can be created. A separate privacy policy will apply to the commercial version of the software.
This policy is transparency information provided under data protection law. It is not a contract. Using our websites does not amount to agreement to it, and reading it does not amount to consent to any processing. Where we need your consent — for marketing email, or for optional cookies — we ask for it separately.

What you have to provide: Our forms mark required fields with an asterisk. Typically these are your name and email address, without which we cannot reply to you. Everything else is optional, and not providing it simply means we know less about how we can help.
We do not ask for special category data, such as information about health, race or religion. Please do not include such information in a free-text message field.
A note on recruitment: Applications sometimes contain health or other special category information we have not asked for. We use health information only where it is necessary to consider or provide reasonable adjustments, or to meet an employment law obligation. Special category information that is not relevant to the recruitment process will not be used, and may be deleted. Please do not send us more than you need to.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether those interests are overridden by your rights and freedoms and concluded that they are not. You may object at any time — see section 11.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
We will only email you updates about Expert Genie Pro if you have opted in. Those updates cover our progress towards the Early Adopter Programme, opportunities to take part in it, development news, commercial launch and related offers. We do not pass your details to anyone else for their marketing. The tickbox on our forms is not pre-ticked, and you can submit a form without it.
You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing contact@fortythree.tech. We will act on it promptly.
We do not send marketing by text message, and we do not make marketing telephone calls.
We do not sell your personal data.

Booking a demo: If you book a demo, the link takes you to Calendly, a separate company with its own privacy notice, which will apply to what you do there. Calendly passes your booking details to us.
Applying through LinkedIn: We sometimes advertise roles on LinkedIn, and you may be able to apply there. LinkedIn is a separate company with its own privacy notice, which applies to what you do on its platform. Once your application reaches us, this policy applies to how we handle it.
Others, where necessary: our professional advisers, under a duty of confidentiality; law enforcement, regulators or courts where we are required to disclose by law; and a purchaser or successor if our business is sold or reorganised.
Microsoft Clarity — a separate controller: Microsoft has stated that for data collected by Clarity it acts as a controller in its own right, not as our processor, and uses that data to operate and improve its own services. We and Microsoft are therefore each separate controllers for our respective processing.
Both websites, and the form submissions stored on them, are hosted in the United Kingdom.

Where personal data goes outside the UK we rely on one or more of: a UK adequacy regulation; the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, where the recipient is certified; or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Changing your mind. You can change your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie tool on either site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the sites may not work properly if you block everything.

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we hold, including encrypted connections to both websites, access controls limiting who can see form submissions, and hosting in a UK data centre.
If a personal data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the ICO without undue delay and, where feasible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of it. Where the risk is high, we will also tell you directly.
To exercise any of these, email contact@fortythree.tech. We will respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity. There is normally no charge.
Making a complaint to us: If you think we have handled your personal data wrongly, you can complain to us directly. Email contact@fortythree.tech, or tell us by any other means — we will treat it as a complaint however it reaches us. We will acknowledge it within 30 days, investigate it without undue delay, keep you informed where appropriate, and tell you the outcome.
Complaining to the ICO: You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time. You do not have to complain to us first.

We do not make decisions about you by automated means that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you. Decisions about early access applications are made by a person.
Our sites link to others, including Calendly and social media. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Please read their notices before giving them your information.
Our websites are aimed at professionals and are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The version number and publication date at the top tell you which version applies. If we make a material change we will say so on the site.
